Our sapele wooden wedding band is made entirely out of sapele wood. This amazing wood is a chocolate brown with “freckles”. The color varies in the amount of red it has from a more brown color to a more red color. Growing in the tropical rain forests of Africa, this wood is reminiscent of mahogany. That being said, it is stronger and tougher than mahogany.

Common uses of sapele wood are: furniture, boatbuilding, musical instruments, and now your ring (among many other things). This stunning reddish-brown ring could be the perfect ring for the groom, or bride, that prefers a cool looking ring that isn’t uncomfortable to wear or has metal.

Our handmade rings are treated to be waterproof through a layering and soaking method that gives the wood strength while also making it perfect for everyday wear. These ring are however made from wood, they can scratch and break if caught on heavy machinery. Please remove your rings when cutting, sawing, welding, or working on your own amazing projects.

The ring can be made to any width from 3mm to 9mm. We can make the ring wider than 9mm but that would be quite uncomfortable to wear. This wood is made entirely out of wood so if you have any allergies to metals, this is the perfect ring for you. Comfortable and truly hypoallergenic.
